Christmas 2010

We left the Rio Dulce on December 5 and made a beeline for Barefoot Cay Resort.  We had decided to spend the holidays here after hearing our friends John and Kathy, from Mystic Moon rave about the place.  They refer to their marina as a boutique marina as there only a few slips but they can take large (100'+) yachts.  The resort is on a small private island in French Harbor they a small restaurant, spa, pool and also have Barefoot Divers a PADI 5 star dive center where they cater to your needs.   They refer to it as valet diving which we took advantage of.   This is probably one of the greatest diving capitals of the world and Jen and Hank really enjoyed their time together underwater.  Betsy decided she didn’t want to reestablish her diving skills and let them enjoy their time together.  It was delightful to have our daughter visit us. 

The season was filled with our traditional holiday meals, a harbor cruise Christmas evening with Doug and Lisa from Highland Light.  friends and many dives. 

After a month at Barefoot for the holiday season NEW YEARS we moved the boat up to the Fantasy Island Marina and made arrangements to go back to close the escrow on the new house.
